This Rock and Roll Alternative Styled shoot was inspired by the town of Costa Mesa and the people who make it what it is. Westside Museum, where this shoot took place has a slogan, "Keep Mesa Cool". And that's exactly what we are doing with this moody, alternative wedding. We wanted to embody the artistic, somewhat grungy vibe of the area and the people who reside here. Our two love birds are what this shoot was inspired by. Ben and Madeline are in a local band together, and Ben is the curator of I Heart Costa Mesa, a local online publication that features artists and events in the area. They embody the artistic edge that this shoot brought to life. Both with past modeling experience, and an interests in all things creative, they were the perfect couple to carry the vision to fruition.
The blank industrial space is perfect for creatives with a different idea for their wedding decor. We thought of the idea of a bad ass rock and roll wedding and ran with it. Our bride was styled in a two piece beaded crop top, an elegant high- waisted skirt, and paired with a black leather jacket. We styled her dapper groom in black jeans and a black tee with a vintage jacket and wingtip shoes from Swellegant. Kats Creations Florals designed a beautiful look with dark purple hues in an oversized bouquet and an abundant table scape. Monge Amore Events, went to town styling the area with gothic candles, cow skulls and a purple ombre lamb skin rug for a vibe that rivals any traditional wedding decor. The invitations designed by The Paper Mint Press paired perfectly with the plums and cherries we used as accent pieces on tableware provided by Baker Party Rentals. All of this combined with a kick ass motorcycle and you have an alternative moody wedding for the ages.
